Police in Nevada have launched an investigation after an individual was shot near an intersection Monday evening.
According to a press release, the Nevada Public Safety Department responded to the intersection of Seventh Street and R Avenue at approximately 6:42 p.m. Monday on a report of shots fired.
As a result of the shooting, one adult male was transported to a medical facility to receive treatment for “gunshot wounds”, states the release. Police are not identifying the victim at this time; however, the individual’s injuries are reportedly believed to be non-life threatening, as of Monday evening.
Authorities have not located any suspects that may have been involved with the incident.
Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community, according to the release. The shooting is thought to have been “an isolated event.”
No further details are being released by police at this time.
