Authorities have arrested an Ames woman after she reportedly stabbed her father during an argument over the weekend.
According to a criminal complaint, the Ames Police Department was called to the 3800 block of Tripp Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Sunday on a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located 21-year-old Keanna Rose Cloudman, who was the accused in the assault.
Cloudman reportedly admitted to police that she and her father had been in an argument prior to the incident. She is accused of following her father out of her apartment and stabbing him “in the back as he was walking away from her”, per the complaint.
Cloudman’s father was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center to treat the stab wound, which was located near his shoulder blade.
The complaint indicates that Cloudman was taken into custody and charged with Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. Cloudman was also charged with Interference With Official Acts, a simple misdemeanor, on Monday. It is unknown whether the two charges are directly related.

The alleged stabbing comes on the heels of a Public Intoxication arrest for Cloudman just last week, according to online records.
Jail records show Cloudman is currently being held at the Story County Jail on a $2,000 bond. She is scheduled for a court appearance on November 27 at 1:00 p.m.
